Under bakken.

Audio-visual work about life beneath the ground. Here you will hear five different musicians interwoven with live images from reality and imagination. This autumn you can experience “Under Bakken” in Stord, Sand, and Bergen.

“Under Bakken” is a strikingly beautiful, funny, and strange musical and visual performance. A performance about the thriving and vital universe that we do not see, but that is right beneath our feet at all times, in the dark, brown soil underground. Did you know that as much as 95% of all living species live in the soil, underground? Who are they, and how do they live? Do they speak? Maybe they play together? If so, what does it sound like? The performance is suitable for children between 5–10 years old and adults of all ages.

A family performance produced by Vestnorsk Jazzsenter, with music by Signe Irene Time and visual effects by Birk Nygård. Duration approximately 35–40 minutes.

With: Signe Irene Time (vocals, piano, compositions), Daiyen Jone Castro (flute, percussion, vocals), Inge Breistein (tenor saxophone, electronics), Fredrik Luhr Dietrichson (bass), Sigurd Steinkopf (drums), and Birk Nygård (visual effects).
